- The Nature of Man
-
- In black, the demon stalked the foul dark Earth,
- The morbid haze that blinds the eye of Man.
- Faded Creation makes for him a berth,
- And Life is stolen from mighty God's plan.
- Despair and strife are ours, the fruit of sin,
- Wallow in dark, in agony, enflamed.
- Heavy and ponderous the hate within,
- Makes me to die, to burn, perish, be damned.
- Cry out and scream, it is futile for me,
- The death-black sword, it kills the inmost soul.
- I choke and struggle 'gainst, my bonds to free,
- The only sound, the bell of my death-toll.
- O God, I cry for my salvation key,
- But, still I sit in immorality.
